Making your own homemade teriyaki sauce is definitely a step up from a store bought version, and it’s easy to make! Follow along for the perfect 10 minute teriyaki sauce:
Ingredients:
½ cup tamari (substitute with low-sodium soy sauce)
¼ cup brown sugar
2 tbsp rice vinegar (substitute with apple cider vinegar)
1 tsp ginger (finely ground)
¼ cup water
2 tsp cornstarch
2 cloves of garlic (finely minced)
Recipe:
- Add all of your ingredients to a medium saucepan and stir
- Bring to a boil on medium heat, then reduce the heat and simmer for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally
- Store in the refrigerator for up to a week!
